Traditions in Worship™ has a three-fold purpose:
1. To promote excellence in worship and to help people understand and appreciate the traditional aspects and forms of worship that should not be forgotten or neglected.
2. To provide opportunities for the body of Christ from many churches in the city and the surrounding areas to worship together.
3. To enhance the funding of the CottageCare® Widows and Orphans Relief Fund, a ministry that assists needy people of Rwanda, Africa, through benefit concerts and hymn sings.

Worship is health to the soul. When, like the prophet Isaiah (see the book of Isaiah, chapter six), we realize God’s holiness and greatness, we are very aware of our own inadequacies. When we have accepted God’s provision in Jesus Christ and the realization of His forgiveness washes over us, we rise up in gratefulness to offer ourselves in service to the Father. People change. Values change. We more effectively align ourselves with God’s purposes instead of our own meager or selfish agenda.
Meaningful worship, then—wherein the heart and mind are fully engaged resulting in the individual viewing the world from God’s perspective, is a building block towards that for which Jesus prayed: “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”. May it be so for each of us.
If you do not presently make worship a priority in your weekly schedule, we encourage you to do so—for your soul health.
